Happy Martenisa Day

There is this weird tradition in Bulgaria (and around) , about people  hanging them with a white and red strings( called Martenisa) on March 1st every year. Supposed to mark the coming of spring, joy   and protection of the evil forces  - shits like that.

The design of the Martanisa  is very different  and individual
