Chapter Eight: Calling The Embassy

To Call the Bulgarian Embassy in USA - priceless , for everything else there is Mastercard and Visa. I had no idea to deal with Bulgarian embassy First of all it is not their concern that I overstayed my visa , Second i dont really think that Boiko can send the special forces to get us out of the jail .
My first call with the embassy was at the border station - Beecher Falls where the border patrol took us . The found the number called Washington DC even faxed all our papers , and let me speak with them . The Conversation was something like this
"Good evening , I am Angel .G and i was arrested by the border patrol , i still don't know what is going on and what the procedure would be "
"Well I am the military attache , there is nobody else in the embassy right now , i can't do anything.The Consul left , he is going to be here tomorrow at 9:00 so u can call at 9:15 , he is about your age , just started , i am sure that whatever he can do he will do it"
"Ok so they are transporting us somewhere and maybe Monday we are going to court , i don't know we have to talk with the immigrations first , We will try to call u Monday"
Of course the moved us to Newport Correctional Facility in Vermont - no phone over there , just a cell 2 by 3 meters .
On Monday evening we managed to call Artist Falls form Franklin County Jail (again thanks God that Zetkata accepts collect calls ) .She said "We know where u are , we called the embassy and they told us that u had court today - what happened ?"
"Court we still don't know what is going on , but i guess the embassy doesn't know at all "
"They told us to pack u one backpack with the most important things , and the immigrations will deport you..."
On Tuesday September 2nd i managed to get in touch with the Consulate in New York
"Hi am Angel bla bala bla arrested me , the send all the papers to Washington DC bla bla"
"We haven't received anything here , usually the forwarded everything to us .If u want I can give u some details about what is going to happen with you"
"Ok"
"They are going to pt you on a plane and going to deport you"
[Wow , Really???I never though that this gonna happen]
"What about voluntary departure?Do u have any information about that procedure?"
"Voluntary departure ????I can get voluntary departure only if you are in status , the are going to deport u now"
I said to myself "If i was in status nobody was about to arrest me you fuckin stupid bitch"
"Anything else ?"
"Well I don't know right now"
"So bye then" hang out
Those calls started to get interesting ...
Next step called the young Bulgarian consul in DC to see how was he doing.Sounds unbelievable but it was a fact some secretary accepted the collect call ....
"I can't tell u anything right now , the consul is on meeting with the ambassador , you can call after 15 minutes...
15 minutes later i got the message " Your call will not be accepted ".....
i guess they know....
